A big part of Frits work is about the origin of mankind. The artist gets his inspiration from the prehistory, science and myths. At moment of writing (17-05-2017) most of Frits interest goes to people that live in close harmony with nature today. The artist is inspired by aboriginal and traditional African art and the symbolism of it.
By making primal kind of art (primal as in pre-modern homo sapiens) Frits ones to connect with our inner Oermens (primal human) or our subconscious for he thinks if we get more connected with our inner tribesperson, we get more connected to earth what will make us more connected with nature and each other. By finding this place in our self we might look at every human being as a tribe member instead of a stranger from another country.
